Elettra’s fellowship at London School of Economics
Hooray!!!
The Configuring Light research group (Don Slater, Mona Sloane, LSE, and Joanne Entwistle, King’s College) at LSE Sociology is delighted to welcome a new member to the team: Dr Elettra Bordonaro is starting a 2-year visiting fellowship with in the LSE Sociology Department to help Configuring Light build on the success of HEIF5-project Urban Lightscapes/Social Nightscapes and develop an international series of workshops for design professionals. These workshops will explore and build expertise in social research in lighting design, working with actual public realm spaces to see how social research can be integrated in design processes, and how design engagements can impact social research methodologies.
Her fellowship is funded by the lighting manufacturer iGuzzini, who have already supported the Urban Lightscapes/Social Nightscapes project as well as design profession events showcasing this project in Sydney and Melbourne earlier this year.
